Waaaay back in the mid-90′s, when I was in high-school, my family got to know a college couple. Micah and Tiffany were fun, funny, smart, and musical. What can I say? They just fit in with us. Tiffany even roomed with me while taking a summer course!

One of the things that imprinted on my teenage mind that I learned from watching the beginning of their relationship was this: Being BEST FRIENDS is a great foundation for a romance.

Micah and Tiffany have been a blessing in my life for over half of it. I hope the moments we captured in this fun family session are a blessing to them!

Lil’ Miss “V”~Children’s Portriature~Memphis, TN

Last year I got to photograph a cute 6 month old that made me work for every smile. You can see her post HERE.

Well, she is now a big sister and it was time for “V” to have her 6 month photos taken. “V” was full of smiles and little roaring noises. She was such a delight to photograph.

When my daughter, Naomi, saw these photos, she thought “V” looked like a baby doll. And she does!

She was a perfect little lady. She put her hands on the armrest all by herself!

When her big sister came home from preschool we snapped a few of them together.

What a privilege it is to be able to photograph these girls. I got to remind the oldest little girl that I knew her daddy when he was her age. Her little face lit right up! Of course, it makes me feel old… but more than that, it makes me feel blessed.

~The Newest Blessing~ {Memphis, TN~Newborn Art}

We are continually blessed to be a part of the community that lives on the graduate school campus where my husband is working towards his Masters of Divinity. While JR and I were doing a missions survey trip in the Philippines, our children were cared for by many of the people we live among.

Chief in my mind before we headed out, was to alert the unborn “Baby J” that for me to take “newborn” photos of her, she would need to wait to be born until my trip was almost over. And she did!

Our family is blessed by her family, and we are excited that she is their newest blessing.
